Bunchan Chhit, 65, of Watertown, died peacefully at Waterbury Hospital surrounded in the love of his family on May 12, 2025. He was the devoted husband of Doeundy (Hap) Chhit for 33 years. Born in Cambodia, Bunchan emigrated to the United States as a young man. He worked as a machine operator for Hayden Switch before his retirement.
Bunchan loved his family, they were the joy in his days. He leaves to cherish his love and memory beside his wife “Dee’, his sons: Bunthoeun John, Bunsombo James, Bunsombat Jason. He also leaves his brothers: Lee, Phalkunn, Vinita, Chharavuth and Phisith Chhit.
Arrangements: Visitation and viewing Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 8:30 am to 9:30am at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home 122 Waterbury Rd. (new location), Prospect with Buddhist service immediately following from 9:30am to 10am at the funeral home. Procession to Pine Grove Crematory, 850 Meriden Rd. Waterbury, CT will depart from the funeral home at 10:15am.
