Barbara A. (Arena) Solla

Barbara A. Solla, 63, of Naugatuck passed away August 14, 2025 at Waterbury Hospital while enfolded in the love of her family.  Barbara was the loving wife of Michael Solla and loving mother of six children.  Born December 26, 1961 in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Marguerite (Bertrand) Arena. 

Barbara was a loving family-centered woman.  People gravitated to her easy-going nature.  She loved shopping, Frankie’s hotdogs and Bingo every week.  Besides her husband Mike, she leaves to cherish her love and memory her children: Kristy Burgett of Waterbury, Marianna and husband Javier, Felice, Michael Jr., and Anthony -all of Naugatuck and son Frank of Waterbury.  She will be missed by her cherished grandchildren Hailie Malhot, and Brixton Solla.  She will also be missed by her brother Peter Petrillo (Trish) and sister Janet Marquis. Barbara is predeceased by her parents and her sister Marguerite.

A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 6-7pm in the Serenity Gardens (upper gardens behind funeral home) of Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect.  Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family is honored to assist the Solla family with services and caring for them through their grief journey.
