Armand Joseph Del Monte Jr

Armand Joseph “ Jay” Del Monte, Jr.,  born October 27, 1957, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on January 27, 2026, at the age of 68.

Armand was a devoted husband, hardworking professional, and a man known for his warmth, humor, and gift of conversation. On February 12, 1994, he married the love of his life, Rosalynd “Roz” (Wilson) Del Monte, whom he met while they both worked at General Datacom. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, and companionship.

Before retiring, Armand worked as a shipping and receiving clerk at General Datacom, where he was known for his reliability and dedication. After retirement, he returned to work at Lowe’s, where his outgoing personality and strong work ethic quickly made him one of the most flexible and productive sales associates.

Armand was a skilled and handy man who loved working with his hands. He enjoyed painting, building, and mechanics, and as a youth he worked alongside his father on his father’s race car. He also loved a good cigar, hunting, and fishing- pastimes that brought him great joy.

Armand was predeceased by his parents, Armand Del Monte, Sr., and Marjorie (Diplisea) Del Monte.

He leaves to cherish his love and memory, in addition to his wife, Roz: his brothers-in-law Randy Wilson of Waterbury; Reggie Wilson and his wife Sherrie of North Carolina; Tony Wilson and his wife Donna of Florida; and his sisters-in-law Anne Hunter of Waterbury and Ronda Wilson of Waterbury. He is also lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Armand will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Arrangements:  Visitation Friday, February 6, 2026 from 5pm to 6:30pm at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect.  A Celebration of Life service will follow at 6:30pm at the funeral home.
