Aquanetta Cyri Humphrey

Aquanetta Cyri Humphrey, 64, of Waterbury, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at VITAS Hospice Care at St. Mary's Hospital after health complications following a stroke. She was born on November 8, 1957 to the late Rebecca (Magazine) Humphrey and Arthur Humphrey.

Aquanetta was a faithful Christian and a member of the Waterbury House of Prayer Church. She was a warm and caring person who worked as a nurse’s aide for many years. She had a heart of gold and was independent and courageous; truly a brave woman of extreme fortitude. Aquanetta was a devoted mother and proud grandmother and will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind.

Aquanetta is survived by her daughter Ashanti Nicholl Humphrey of Waterbury; her siblings Jeffrey Humphrey of Boston MA, Cynthia Humphrey of New Haven, and James Humphrey and his wife Lisa Stuckey-Humphrey of New Haven; her grandchildren Marquet Rochelle Humphrey, Gabriel Humphrey, Asha Humphrey, Amin Humphrey, as well as a bevy of cousins and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Arthur Rochelle ("Pete") Humphrey.
