Antonio Guzman Garcia, 78, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, at St. Mary’s VITAS while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 9, 1947, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, to the late Monserate Guzman and Francisca Garcia.
Antonio held a deep love for Puerto Rico and took great pride in his heritage. He cherished time spent by the beaches, taking in the beauty and tranquility of the ocean. Above all, he was a devoted family man who found his greatest joy in the life he built with his beloved wife, Judith DeJesus Medina, and their family in Connecticut.
He is predeceased by his parents; his siblings, Isabele Vega, Isabelle Garcia, and Santos Guzman; and his son, Jose Guzman. He is survived by his loving wife, Judith; his sons, Alexander Guzman, Jose Rodriquez, Luisito Guzman, and Carlos Guzman; his grandchildren, Jose Soto, William Guzman, Carlos Guzman, Ashley Guzman, Alexis Guzman, Yandel Guzman, Wilbert Rodriquez, Jennifer Rodriquez, Stephanie Rodriquez, Joseph Rodriquez, and Keniel Guzman; as well as 13 great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 27, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Prospect Memorial / The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect, CT 06712. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
