Annie G. Steward

Annie Gray Steward, born on May 6, 1943, in Fayetteville, NC, passed away on October 1, 2024, in Waterbury, CT. Annie was a vibrant spirit who found joy in cooking, riding motorcycles, and doing hair. Her favorite meals included chicken, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese, which she often shared with her beloved family.

Annie dedicated her career to serving others, working at the Salvation Army and as a bus aide, where she touched may lives with her kindness. She cherished every moment spent with her family, which included her 5 sons: Richard and his wife Adrian, James, Joseph, Jeffrey, and William and his wife Ronnice. Annie was also the proud mother of 2 daughters: Joann, who is married to Sylvuna Knighton, and MaryAnn, who is married to Michael Manning. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Annie is survived by her 2 brothers, John and Joseph Branch. Her warmth, love, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who know her.
