Allen William Brooks Sr. Born August 4, 1952 a lifelong resident of Prospect died peacefully in the comfort of his home while enfolded in the love of his family on August 24, 2025. Allen cherished his family and every moment spent with them. He leaves behind his fiancé Cheryl Carter, His daughter Kimberly Brooks and son Allen Brooks Jr., his son-in-law Robert Hurbon, a daughter-in-law Stephany Brooks as well as his adoring grandchildren Zachary Sweet, Brandan Sweet, Cheyenne Brooks and Robert Brooks. Allen is also survived by his sister Carol Brooks, a niece Tricia Brook and a nephew Steve Brooks. He was the son of the late Alden B. Brooks and Mildred (Rasmussen) Brooks.
Allen was a toolmaker by trade and worked for many different companies. Allen loved the outdoors going hunting for deer, riding his Harley Davidson, and his 1969 baby blue Corvette Stingray. Allen was also an avid Nascar fan, he always cheered for his favorites. Allen spent many years at the Veteran’s Hall in Prospect cooking game dinners and had a hand in getting the plane erected on the front lawn. Allen was a loving man with pride and integrity, he loved playing practical jokes on everyone. He could always make you laugh. Allen always put those close to him first and foremost. He was filled with love and always willing to share that love. Allen was always willing to help anyone, anywhere. Once he made you a friend, it was lifelong. He enjoyed all of his time spent with his family and friends. One of his favorite quotes “Time Spent With Family is Time Well Spent” Allen was such a joy to be around. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
