Alice (Yasmer) Hubbell,67, of Prospect passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Waterbury Hospital on Sunday, June 16, 2024.  Alice was the loving wife and soulmate of Harold Hubbell for 47 wonderful years. Born November 25, 1956 in Meriden, she was the daughter of the late Paul Yasmer and Marion (Rosenblatt) Yasmer. 

Alice graduated from Capitol Community College with her Associate’s degree and subsequently from Lincoln College with her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.  She devoted her skills and genuine care to her patients at the Hospital for Special Care for 18 years before leaving to raise and nurture her son Dustin.  Alice and Harold were blessed with their only son Dustin who was born with developmental challenges.  Through Alice’s sheer determination, expertise, patience, love and prayer Dustin exceeded all expectations.  He was her life, she his cheerleader and advocate.  His death in 2022 at the young age of 43 was heart wrenching.

Family was the center of Alice’s life.  She and Harold were each other’s best friends.  She also enjoyed cheering on her favorite Red Sox players and watching game shows.  Alice also participated in her BPD exercise group for those with Parkinson’s.  She continued to contribute her keen intellect and nursing knowledge by being part of the NSBN (National Council of State Boards of Nursing) yearly NCLEX Board review held annually in Chicago.  Loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend- Alice fulfilled so many roles with tenderness and love and dedication. Her love lives on the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 6 pm at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect.
