Mrs. Albertine O. Spagnolo
Bethany resident, Beloved wife and mother.
BETHANY - Mrs. Albertine Ouellette Spagnolo, 75, of Bethany, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024.
Albertine, known as Tina to family and friends, was born on June 27, 1949 in Eagle Lake, ME to Mattie and Rosaire Ouellette and was raised by foster parents Doris and Phydime Pelletier. She graduated from Fort Kent Community High School and moved to Connecticut. Albertine married Edward Spagnolo in 1984. The couple had one daughter. In 1996, the family moved to the house they built in Bethany. Ed and Albertine were a devoted, caring, and supportive team and their home was full of love. Everyone always felt welcome at their house and they never left hungry. Albertine’s cooking and baking skills were excellent and she loved making favorite dishes for those she cared about for celebrations or “just because”.
The holiday parties were legendary. Ed was the life of the party with his stories and Albertine was its soul with the meticulous way she made sure everyone had something on the table that they loved. Everyone’s favorite cookies were on the tray and everyone had a plate to take home. She was a quiet person, but she had a generous spirit and was happiest when she was able to do something kind for someone else. There are many stories of her small acts of kindness that had a greater impact than she knew.
Albertine was predeceased by her parents, foster parents, brother Francis, sisters Marianne and Edwidge, and her beloved husband, Edward, who passed away on November 30, 2024. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy, brothers Edwin, Edmond, Edgar, Donald, Kim, Gary, and Gregory, sisters Grace, Theresa, Rosemary, Martha, Donna, Louise, Janelle, and Faye as well as many nieces, nephews, and their children.
