In Loving Memory of Mr. Alan Paul Fontaine

Mr. Alan Paul Fontaine, 69, of Waterbury, Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 13, 2026.

Alan was born in Bristol on January 17, 1957, the son of Raymond H. Fontaine and Mary (Given) Fontaine. He worked for much of his life as a bodywork mechanic before becoming disabled. His talent and passion for automobiles extended well beyond his work; Alan loved spending his free time working on muscle cars, especially Chevelles, Camaros, and Oldsmobiles.

Known for his outgoing nature, great personality, and ability to remain happy despite the challenges life brought his way, Alan made a lasting impression on those who knew him. In his younger years, he proudly competed in (and won!) several arm wrestling competitions throughout New England. He also had a well-known appreciation for a good steak, which was without question his favorite meal.

Alan leaves behind his beloved sons, Justin Fontaine of Rhode Island and Alan Fontaine of Florida; his mother, Mary Fontaine; his brother, Raymond Fontaine and his significant other, Agnes, of Wolcott; and his sisters, Michelle Fontaine of Bristol, Sonya Fontaine of Florida, and Corinne Fontaine of Wolcott. He was predeceased by his father, Raymond H. Fontaine, and his brother, Glen Fontaine.

Alan will be remembered for his love of cars, his competitive spirit, his cheerful outlook, and the warmth he shared with family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
